D90 with features including 12.3 megapixel CCD, 200-3200 ISO, 3 inch
LCD, and auto dust removal system stores its picture and video files
on SD memory cards. As is the case with any other sort of external
storage devices, data lost or deleted from SD cards are lost or
deleted for good, because they do go to the Trash or Recycle Bin to
get recovered.
One
can hope for recovery of the data through a data backup process.
There are, however, instances when this ready-made facility cannot
help. Then arises the need of using certain memory card recovery
software.
Suppose,
your memory card has popped out of your camera, or you have
accidentally switched your camera off, or stumbled on your USB cable
and kicked the plug off its slot while transferring some just-clicked
photos from your SD card to your PC. Any of these errors will do
certain logical damage to your card leading ultimately to the loss of
the photos. After this error, attempts to access the card will prompt
some error message like 'This memory card cannot be used', 'Card may
be damaged', or 'Insert another card' repeatedly on your monitor.
Now,
your card is certainly not usable, and consequently you have no means
to access the photos on it. You have rather to reformat the card to
make it usable again, only to delete all your data on it right away.
Then, have you lost your photos?
No.
You can recover your photos by running a data backup, a program
inbuilt in all computers and recent digital devices including digital
cameras and mobile phones. But, you should not write any data on the
card or use it to take new pictures before recovery is performed,
lest there are great chances of getting your photos' getting
overwritten. Overwritten data can never be recovered.
If
data backup is not unavailable, or fails, you need to use some
powerful digital card recovery software. Card data recovery
applications highly advanced methods to cater to complex memory card
